Kathmandu Valley Gas Supply Disrupted by Prithvi Highway Flooding
Flooding on the Prithvi Highway has disrupted the supply of cooking gas in the Kathmandu Valley, prompting Nepal Oil Corporation to halt sales and distribution for commercial purposes.
A joint meeting held by Deputy Executive Director Deepak Baral decided to provide gas only for household and essential sectors, such as students, patients, and flood victims' shelters.
The corporation arranged for LPG gas industries in the Terai to fill cylinders at their own industries and transport them to Kathmandu via alternative routes.
