Kazakhstan Aims for 96M Ton Oil Production in 2026
Kazakhstan's oil production is expected to reach 96 million tons in 2026, according to the country's government.
The forecast was announced at a meeting of the headquarters for ensuring economic growth chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin.
Despite a gradual recovery in oil production, the physical volume index (PVI) for eight months stood at 91.6%, with 61.7 million tons of oil produced.
The non-resource sector continues to drive economic growth, with manufacturing output increasing by 8.4% and overall industrial production growing by 2.6%.
