Kazakhstan Cuts Oil Production Plan Amid CPC Attacks

Kazakhstan's oil production plan for next year has been revised downward due to recent attacks on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). According to Energy Minister Magzum Mirzagaliyev, the country initially aimed to produce 99.5 million tons of oil in 2026, but this target is now reduced to 96 million tons.

The attacks, which took place in January and continued into June and July, resulted in approximately 3.5 million tons of lost production. This figure includes the impact of the drone strikes on the CPC, as well as the postponement of planned maintenance at the Tengizchevroil (TCO) fields until next year.

The Ministry of Energy also decided to postpone major overhaul work at NCOC fields until 2027.
