Kazakhstan Oil Output Soars with Tengiz Restoration
Kazakhstan's oil production has bounced back significantly after a decline in July due to export restrictions. On August 9, the country's oil and gas condensate output reached 275,000 metric tons, or approximately 2.08 million barrels per day.
This represents a 40% increase from the 197,000 tons, or 1.49 million bpd, produced on July 31.
The major contributor to this surge was the Tengiz oilfield, which restored production and reached an output of 903,000 barrels per day (bpd) on August 9. This is a significant increase from the 454,000 bpd recorded on July 31 and surpasses the average of 784,000 bpd in July.
Kazakhstan's energy ministry did not provide an official comment on this development. Tengizchevroil (TCO), the Chevron-led operator of the Tengiz field, also declined to comment on production details.
