Kazakhstan Rises to Top Four Gold Buyers Amid Global Uncertainty
Kazakhstan has joined the world's top four gold buyers after adding 15 tonnes to its reserves in the second quarter of 2026.
This placed Kazakhstan fourth among central banks by net purchases, according to data from the World Gold Council.
The country trailed behind Poland, which topped the ranking with 51 tonnes, followed by China with 33 tonnes and Uzbekistan with 16 tonnes.
Kazakhstan's gold reserves now stand at a significant $2.1 billion based on the average London price of $4,506 per troy ounce in the second quarter.
