Kazakhstan Trims 2026 Oil Production Plan Amid CPC Attacks

Kazakhstan has reduced its oil production plan for 2026 due to attacks on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC).

The country initially planned to maintain last year's production level of 99.5 million tons and approach the 100 million-ton mark, but lost approximately 3.5 million tons after the January and July attacks.

TengizChevrOil (TCO) shareholders decided not to conduct a major overhaul until next year, which contributed to the reduced production plan.

The Ministry of Energy also postponed planned maintenance at NCOC fields until next year, resulting in an adjusted production plan of 96 million tons. The production losses from the attacks on the CPC amount to 3.5 million tons.
