Kazakhstan's Flour Production and Exports Surge
Kazakhstan's flour production and exports have seen significant growth in the first ten months of the 2025/26 season, according to official statistics. The country has produced around 3.1 million tons of wheat flour during this period, a 16% increase from the same time last year.
Exports have also increased by 20%, reaching 1.88 million tons. Afghanistan remains the largest consumer of Kazakh wheat flour, with imports rising by 21% to 1.14 million tons.
Other Central Asian countries have also seen a significant increase in their imports from Kazakhstan: Kyrgyzstan up by 116% to 227 thousand tons, Turkmenistan up by 87% to 122 thousand tons, and Tajikistan up by 31% to 54.6 thousand tons.
The Union of Grain Processors of Kazakhstan will be discussing the current situation in the country's flour milling industry at the VI International Conference 'Asia Grains&Oils Conference in Tashkent 2026' on September 16.
