Kazakhstan's Oil Production Delayed by One Year

Kazakhstan's oil production is facing a one-year delay due to planned maintenance at the Tengiz oil field. According to Timur Suleimenov, Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the country's oil production will remain below projected levels in 2027. Initially, the bank had estimated oil production to be 98 million tons for 2026, but this was revised downward to 96 million tons.

The forecast for 2027 is also 96 million tons, which is lower than initially predicted. The delay in maintenance at the Tengiz field will impact the country's oil production levels.
