Kazakhstan's Wheat Exports Boom to 18% in Afghan Trade Push

Kazakhstan's wheat exports to Afghanistan have seen a significant increase in the first ten months of this year. According to reports, the country's wheat exports reached 1.87 million tons in the given period, marking an 18.3% growth compared to previous years. This growth comes as Afghanistan seeks to expand its trade and transit relations with Central Asian countries.

The Kazakhstan Grain Union stated that Afghanistan remains one of the key markets for the country's wheat. In fact, the union noted that in the fiscal year 2026, Kazakhstan's wheat exports to Afghanistan grew by 21.5%. This trend highlights the importance of regional trade relationships and the potential benefits they can bring.

Kazakhstan is a major grain producer in Central Asia, and a significant portion of its wheat exports is allocated to regional markets, including Afghanistan.
