KazMunayGas and TAQA Explore Cooperation Prospects in Oilfield Services
Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG) has discussed cooperation prospects in geological exploration, oilfield services, and technology introduction with Saudi Arabia's Industrialization & Energy Services Company (TAQA).
The meeting between KMG Chairman of the Board Askhat Khassenov and TAQA Acting Chief Executive Officer Rayed Eskandrani took place in Astana.
The sides discussed improving development efficiency, increasing oil recovery at mature fields, and enhancing well productivity at carbonate and gas fields. They also touched on recovering hard-to-reach reserves.
KMG highlighted localization of production and development of oilfield service capabilities as a priority area.
