Kelt Exploration Smashes Quarterly Production Record in Q2 2026
Kelt Exploration Ltd., a Calgary-based producer, has set a new record for quarterly production in Q2 2026, averaging 50,388 barrels of oil equivalent per day. This represents a 30% increase from the same quarter last year.
The company's revenue nearly doubled year over year to CA$222.2 million, with petroleum and natural gas sales reaching CA$222.2 million. Adjusted funds from operations rose by 76%, while net income for the quarter was CA$44.7 million, compared to CA$32.5 million a year earlier.
Kelt's drilling results were particularly impressive, with wells at the Wembley 6-9 pad and 11-34 pad outperforming internal estimates by significant margins. The company attributed this success to optimized fracture completion designs and higher proppant and water intensities.
