The price of gold in Kerala has increased by Rs 65 per gram today, reaching a market price of Rs 14,220 per gram. This rise is causing concern among people waiting to buy gold for weddings and other needs, as more weddings are expected in the coming months. The price of one sovereign (8 grams) has increased by Rs 520, reaching Rs 1,13,760.

The US Federal Reserve's indication that it may cut interest rates has driven investor interest in gold, while the weakness of US bonds and the dollar has also been favourable for gold prices. Renewed economic uncertainty in the United States is once again driving investors toward safe-haven assets such as gold.
