Kernel Grain Exports Surge Amid Ongoing Ukraine Conflict
Kernel Holding, Ukraine's largest producer and exporter of grains, has reported a significant increase in grain exports for the fiscal year ending June 30. According to the company, grain exports rose by 15% year-on-year to reach 6.3 million tonnes in 2026.
The company's elevator network handled 4.3 million tonnes of grains and oilseeds, a 60% increase from the previous year. The growth was driven by a higher share of corn in the group's harvest mix and increased intake volumes from third-party farmers.
Despite a shortage of sunflower seeds following last year's smaller harvest, Kernel processed 3.2 million tonnes of oilseeds, with soybean and rapeseed partially offsetting lower sunflower volumes.
