Kinder Morgan Wins Federal Approval for Southeast Pipeline Expansion
Kinder Morgan has secured certificates from federal regulators for two major pipeline projects in the Southeast, paving the way for nearly 500 miles of new natural gas infrastructure. The Mississippi Crossing (MSX) and South System Expansion 4 (SSE4) projects aim to enhance supply access across the region.
The MSX project targets startup as early as 2Q2028, while SSE4 is expected to enter service throughout 2029. This expansion will help alleviate supply constraints in the Southeast, a region that has faced high prices and limited pipeline capacity.
