Kino Aski LNG Rekindles East Coast Export Ambitions
An Indigenous-led group and Marinvest Energy Canada are reviving plans for an LNG export facility on the Atlantic coast of Canada, targeting European demand. The proposed project, Kino Aski LNG, aims to export 15 million tonnes per year (Mt/y) of natural gas.
Kino Aski targets a new potential outlet for Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) gas, which has been challenging to transport and market in the past. East coast projects have faced significant hurdles due to high costs and regulatory issues.
