Kinross Gold Shares Leap 10.6% on Rebound in Bullion Prices

Kinross Gold (KGC) shares rallied by 10.6% on August 19, 2026, as the bullion market strengthened and added momentum to its already impressive quarterly results.

The company's recent second-quarter report showed adjusted earnings per share of $0.71, driven by higher realized gold prices and stronger operating cash generation.

Kinross generated approximately $727 million in attributable free cash flow during the quarter, ending June with a substantial cash position and no near-term debt maturities, reinforcing its balance-sheet strength.

The company repurchased about $230 million of shares during the quarter and had bought back around $520 million year-to-date, while also declaring a quarterly dividend of $0.04 per share.
