Kiyosaki Slams Treasury's 'Fake Dollars' Plan, Touts Hard Assets
Robert Kiyosaki has spoken out against the US dollar, claiming it's being weakened by government policies. The Treasury Department recently announced plans to buy back up to $4 billion in long-term government debt per operation, a move that Kiyosaki sees as another form of monetary expansion.
The Rich Dad Poor Dad author argues that this policy amounts to creating more 'fake dollars' and will lead to inflation and the erosion of purchasing power. He believes investors should favor assets with constrained supply, such as gold, silver, Bitcoin, and real estate, over cash when government debt and inflation pressures rise.
The Treasury's plan is designed to improve liquidity in longer-dated securities, but it arrives at a sensitive moment. Long-term yields have recently climbed to levels not seen since 2007, while US federal debt has crossed $40 trillion.
