KOC Awards Record $7.2 Billion in Contracts Amid Capacity Boost

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has awarded a record number of contracts worth about $7.2 billion in the first half of this year as part of its efforts to expand oil production capacity and modernise infrastructure.

The company, which is responsible for Kuwait's upstream oil operations, said the contracts cover a range of services including drilling and well maintenance, flowline construction, cementing and testing services, infrastructure projects, technical consultancy, cybersecurity, medical services and operational support.

Among the largest awards was the integrated Mutriba project valued at 466.6 million dinars, alongside 174.2 million dinars worth of flowline construction and related works. KOC also awarded a significant contract for employee health insurance and another for Package B of the Wadi Al Ahmadi Research Center project.
