Korean Shipbuilders Unveil Cutting-Edge Technologies at Gastech 2026

Korean shipbuilders HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hanwha Ocean Co., and Samsung Heavy Industries Co. are preparing to showcase their latest technologies at Gastech 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The exhibition, which runs from September 14 to 17 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), focuses on the gas industry and low-carbon solutions.

HD Hyundai will have an integrated booth featuring its affiliates HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., HD Hyundai Marine Solution Co., and HD Hyundai Electric Co. The company plans to showcase five models, including an LNG carrier, a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), a very large gas carrier (VLGC), an LNG bunkering vessel, and a liquefied carbon dioxide carrier.

Researchers from HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering will also give presentations on hydrogen maritime transportation and bunkering, ammonia safety, and physics-based digital twins.
