Kospi Dips Amid Middle East Tensions and Oil Price Surge
The Korean stock market opened lower on Thursday as rising oil prices and escalating tensions in the Middle East fueled inflation concerns ahead of key US data.
The Kospi, South Korea's main stock index, fell by 12.79 points or 0.18% to 7,038.85 at the opening bell.
This decline comes on the heels of overnight losses in US stocks, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.77% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite declining 0.64%.
