KPC Reports Progress on Strategic Oil and Gas Projects
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has reported significant progress in its key oil and gas projects, ensuring energy security and increasing production capacity. The company's upstream sector is advancing despite challenges in implementing major strategic projects due to external factors.
According to KPC's 2025/26 financial statement, Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), the parent company of KPC, maintained progress across its project portfolio. KOC achieved its annual total crude oil production target for the second consecutive year by reaching 2.72 million barrels of oil per day (bpd).
The discovery of Jazza Field, the first gas field in Kuwait's offshore area, was a notable exploration achievement. KOC also drilled the first two offshore wells in Julaia and Ruqwa and commenced drilling the first well in Ras Ashairij.
