Krauth Forecasts $80-$85 Silver Price Target Before Year-End
Peter Krauth, editor of Silver Stock Investor and author of The Great Silver Bull, believes silver has room to run. In a recent interview with Money Metals podcast host Mike Maharrey, Krauth argued that strong investment demand, industrial consumption, depleted exchange inventories, and emerging technologies support higher silver prices.
Silver broke above the $50 barrier in 2025, a historic change, as Krauth noted it had held steady for roughly 45 years prior. Now, he views $50 as silver's new floor. The metal has shown resilience, repeatedly testing around $55 without returning to its previous all-time high.
Krauth expects silver to reach approximately $80 to $85 before the end of 2026. He attributes this forecast to depleted exchange inventories and persistent supply deficits. Krauth pointed out that large stockpiles accumulated during earlier years of oversupply have since eroded, leaving less above-ground silver readily available.
