Kremlin Promises Measures to Secure Russian Grain Exports Amid Ukrainian Strikes
The Kremlin has announced measures to mitigate the impact of Ukrainian strikes on Russia's grain exports, amid concerns over tighter global supplies.
Tit-for-tat attacks by Russia and Ukraine on ports and vessels have resulted in shuttered grain terminals and delayed or cancelled loadings for dozens of cargoes during the peak export season.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that 'measures have been identified and will be further developed, ensuring that all grain intended for export is shipped on time and in full.'
Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged Russia's problems with agricultural exports but pledged to resolve them, estimating the country would have around 60 million tons of grain for export this season.
