Ksi Lisims LNG has made significant strides in securing long-term supply agreements for its proposed British Columbia LNG export project in Canada. The company has signed a heads of agreement with Australian energy firm Santos to purchase 1 million tons per year (MMtpy) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) over a 20-year term.

The deal is subject to the completion of a sale and purchase agreement (SPA), which will be on a Free on Board basis. This agreement marks another major milestone for Ksi Lisims LNG, following similar deals with Shell, TotalEnergies, and Uniper for a combined 6 MMtpy.

The project's developer aims to complete the commercialization of its full 12 MMtpy capacity this year, highlighting strong commercial momentum. Another recent heads of agreement was signed with Germany's state-backed SEFE for an additional 1 MMtpy over 20 years.
