Kurdistan Oil Production to Resume at 200,000 Barrels per Day
Kurdistan's oil production is set to resume after a pause, according to Shirvan Dobardani, a member of the Security and Defense Commission of the Iraqi Parliament. Oil companies operating in the region will begin activities again next week, with the first phase aiming for 200,000 barrels per day.
Dobardani noted that Ali Zaidi has provided written security guarantees to oil companies, ensuring their operations can continue without concerns. Additionally, an air defense system is being deployed in Erbil to enhance infrastructure protection and ensure security.
The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region has agreed to the establishment of this air defense system, with Dobardani emphasizing its importance for regional stability. In terms of oil production, companies will start at 200,000 barrels per day in the first phase, with potential increases in future stages.
