Kurdistan Region Presidency Condemns Attacks on Saudi Oil Pipelines
The Kurdistan Region Presidency has condemned attacks on Saudi Arabia's oil pipelines and reaffirmed its support for the kingdom's security and stability.
The statement, issued on September 12, expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia following drone attacks that struck the East-West oil pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions.
The Kurdistan Region Presidency also backed Baghdad's efforts to investigate the attacks and hold those responsible accountable.
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi had ordered the dismissal of Maysan province's police chief, as well as the transfer of security agency heads in the province for investigation.
The Iraqi government has condemned the attacks and emphasized that Iraqi territory must not be used to threaten neighboring countries.
