Kuwait Boosts Oil Production Amid OPEC+ Strategy
Kuwait's oil production will increase to 2.676 million barrels per day (bpd) in September 2026, as per an announcement by Oil Minister Tariq Al-Roumi.
This decision aligns with the latest OPEC+ agreement to gradually unwind voluntary production cuts.
The minister emphasized Kuwait's commitment to the principles of consultation and coordination within the OPEC+ alliance, which is crucial for maintaining oil market balance and responding effectively to rapidly evolving global energy conditions.
Al-Roumi noted that the decision reflects a cautious and balanced approach, based on close monitoring of global oil market indicators, aimed at maintaining equilibrium between supply and demand while supporting the stability of international energy markets.
