Kuwait's crude oil production surged by almost 20% in July to its highest average level since the start of the Iran war, according to data from officials. The output rose to 1.97 million barrels a day, up about 300,000 barrels a day from the previous month.

The increase is significant, as production had been at lows in April but has now recovered several times over. However, it remains about 20% below pre-war levels.
