Kuwait Slams Pipeline Attack as Threat to Regional Security
Kuwait has condemned an attack on Saudi Arabia's East-West oil pipeline, which was targeted by several drones launched from Iraqi territory. The drone strike caused injuries and material damage, leading to a temporary halt in operations.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry described the attack as a 'violation of Saudi sovereignty' and a 'breach of international law and international humanitarian law'. They warned that such attacks undermine regional security and stability, stressing the need for the Iraqi government to take measures to prevent its territory from being used as a launch point for attacks against neighboring countries.
Kuwait reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for measures aimed at protecting its sovereignty, security, stability, and interests. The attack drew condemnations from several Arab countries.
