The global gold market has been experiencing significant price fluctuations since September's start. The price of an ounce has decreased by almost three percent in the first two days of the month, but then began to rise again.

In January 2026, gold reached its historical peak at $5,589.38 per ounce, only to lose nearly 22 percent in value since then.

The current price is around $4,300 per ounce, which is still lower than the peak but higher than September of last year's price ($3,481.27).

In Kyrgyzstan, the gold market has also seen a correction at the end of summer and the beginning of autumn 2026.
