LA and OC Gas Prices Rise Amid Ongoing Middle Eastern Conflict
The average price of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose to $5.664 per gallon, marking its fourth consecutive increase.
This 1.1 cent rise is also reflected in Orange County's average gas price, which increased to $5.607 per gallon for the fourth day in a row.
The prices are still volatile, with experts attributing the increases to continued uncertainty along the Strait of Hormuz and conflict in the Middle East, causing crude oil prices to approach the $90 per barrel range.
Kandace Redd, senior public affairs specialist at the Automobile Club of Southern California, advises motorists to 'continue looking for ways to stretch their fuel dollars' through simple steps like keeping tires properly inflated and combining errands.
