LA County Gas Prices Surge Again Amid Middle East Tensions
The average price of gas in Los Angeles County has increased for the 10th consecutive day, rising by 2.2 cents to $5.645 per gallon.
This marks a 24-cent increase over the past 10 days, with prices also up 16.8 cents compared to one week ago and 10.4 cents higher than one month ago.
The increases are largely attributed to the conflict in the Middle East, disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, and higher crude oil prices, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California's Weekend Gas Watch.
The Orange County average price has also risen for 11 consecutive days, increasing by 3.1 cents to $5.594 per gallon.
