A Los Angeles food influencer has sparked debate over the value of Costco's new seafood boil kit after sharing his $63 experience on social media.

The kit, priced at $11.99 a pound, includes wild Dungeness crab sections, shrimp, mussels, and clams, along with roasted red potatoes and corn, and a Cajun-style seasoning packet.

Lavelle, the influencer behind The Lavelle Show, purchased the kit and shared his honest reaction in a video that drew over 1.2 million views.

He admitted to going back and forth with a friend on whether it was 'a bang for our buck,' but ultimately enjoyed the sides, seasoning, and seafood.
