LBMA Survey: Gold Price Averages $4,500/oz by Year-End

The London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) has released its snapshot survey results for gold prices in 2026. The survey, conducted in July, polled 16 professional analysts and found that they expect the average gold price to be around $4,500 per ounce by year-end.

This is a 12% increase from current prices, with some analysts predicting even higher prices. Julia Du, commodity strategist at ICBC Standard Bank, was the most bullish on gold, calling for it to hit $7,150 this year and averaging an annual price target of $6,050.

On the other hand, Robin Bhar, founder of Robin Bhar Metals Consulting, had the most bearish forecast, seeing gold prices averaging around $4,000 per ounce this year. He sees support at $3,500 an ounce, with prices peaking at $5,000 an ounce.
