Gas prices in Lincoln have continued to rise, according to a new survey from GasBuddy. In the last week, gasoline prices have increased by 7.8 cents per gallon, bringing the average price to $3.99 per gallon.

The survey of 146 gas stations found that prices are now 17.8 cents higher than a month ago and $1.13 higher than a year ago. The highest price in Lincoln is currently $4.59 per gallon, while the lowest is $3.67 per gallon.

Compared to last month in 2021, when the average price was $3.14 per gallon, prices have risen significantly. Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, attributes the rise to rebounding oil prices and ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Iran.
