Lion Copper Rebrands, Consolidates Shares Ahead of Nasdaq Bid
Lion Copper and Gold Corp., set to rebrand as Lion Copper Corp. with a new ticker symbol 'LCU', has announced a 27-to-1 share consolidation, reducing its outstanding shares from approximately 431 million to around 16 million.
The changes are effective at market open on September 14, 2026, subject to CSE approval. The consolidation is directly tied to the company's application to list on the Nasdaq Capital Market, where a minimum bid price of $4 per share is among the initial listing requirements.
The rebranding from Lion Copper and Gold Corp. to Lion Copper Corp. is intended to better reflect the company's strategic direction, aligning with its focus on copper assets led by its flagship project in Yerington, Nevada. The project is being advanced through an earn-in agreement with Nuton LLC, a Rio Tinto venture.
