LME Closure Brings Quiet Market with EQ Copper Quotations
The London Metal Exchange (LME) was closed on August 31 due to the UK Summer Bank Holiday, resulting in a relatively quiet market. Despite this, some mainstream quotations for September-arrival EQ copper were still heard today at around $55-60/mt.
According to SMM's data, the average warrant price remained unchanged from the previous trading day at $75/mt, with a price range of $70-80/mt. The average B/L price also stayed the same as the previous day at $70/mt, ranging from $60-80/mt.
The average EQ copper (CIF B/L) price was unchanged from the previous trading day at $30/mt, with quotes based on September-arrival cargoes and a price range of $20-40/mt.
