LNG Carrier Operator Secures Contract Renewal with Burckhardt Compression
Burckhardt Compression has secured a contract renewal with a global LNG carrier operator for a fleet of nine vessels equipped with Laby-GI compressors. The renewed agreement covers the maintenance and management of these critical components, which play a crucial role in fuel gas supply and boil-off gas (BOG) management.
The initial five-year long-term service agreement (LTSA) saw the fleet achieve an impressive compressor availability exceeding 97%. This success has led to the renewal of the contract, with Burckhardt Compression set to continue providing scheduled maintenance, condition monitoring, spare parts management, and fleet performance oversight.
The key component of this service strategy is condition monitoring through Burckhardt Compression's Prognost-NT system. This technology enables predictive maintenance by continuously monitoring compressor performance and identifying potential issues before they develop into operational problems.
