LNG Exporters Eagerly Eye Cambodia's First Plant
Cambodia is drawing interest from major liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporters ahead of its first plant coming online next year. The government will consider both price and stability of supply when issuing a tender and selecting a shipper, according to Minister of Mines and Energy Keo Rottanak.
The US, Canada, Australia, Middle East, and Southeast Asian nations have expressed interest in exporting LNG to Cambodia. The country's first LNG plant is expected to come online by next year, and the government will evaluate bids based on price and supply stability.
