Two major deals in the LNG sector have been announced this week, with Allseas and Baker Hughes securing significant contracts for pipeline projects. The awards highlight the ongoing importance of natural gas infrastructure development.

Allseas' pipelayer, Solitaire, is set to install the subsea section of the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission pipeline in northwest Canada. This project will connect the Liard Plains region to the terminal at Kitimat, a critical step towards increasing gas supply to Asian markets. The award follows recent announcements for other major LNG projects in the region.

Baker Hughes has also landed a contract for the same project, providing equipment and services for the installation of the pipeline's subsea section. Both companies' expertise will be crucial in ensuring the success of this complex operation.
