LNG Revenues Fuel Cheniere Energy's Q2 Profit Surge
Cheniere Energy (NYSE: LNG) has reported a significant increase in its second-quarter profit, driven by growth in liquefied natural gas (LNG) revenues.
The company's LNG revenues jumped to $5.64 billion for the three months ended June 30, compared to $4.52 billion in the same period last year.
Regasification revenues remained steady at $34 million, while other revenues declined slightly to $58 million.
Cheniere Energy's operating costs and expenses increased to $1.44 billion, primarily due to higher cost of sales.
