Logan Energy Corp. Shatters Quarterly Production Records with 44% YoY Surge
Logan Energy Corp., a growth-oriented energy company, has achieved its best quarter ever in terms of production and cash flow. In Q2 2026, the company's output averaged 17,239 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOE/d), representing a significant 44% increase from the same period last year.
The surge in production was driven by a combination of higher commodity prices and lower unit costs. Logan's average realized crude oil price rose 59% year-over-year to $93.67 USD per barrel, while operating expenses decreased by 19% to $5.50 USD per BOE. This resulted in an Operating Netback before hedging of $28.16 USD per BOE, a 50% increase from Q2 2025.
The strong financial performance enabled Logan to raise its full-year production guidance and expand its capital program for the remainder of 2026. The company has also added significant Montney acreage at Simonette through an $8.9 million USD asset acquisition, growing its holdings by 17% and adding 99.4 net drilling locations.
