Longtime Oil Executive and Nature Enthusiast Dennis Andrews Passes Away
Dennis Andrews passed away after a long life filled with adventure and love. Born in Torquay, Saskatchewan to Armour and Mary Andrews, Dennis was the youngest of four siblings. His sisters Audrey, Elaine, and Shirley cherished him deeply. He studied geology at the University of Alberta before embarking on a career in oil and gas with Hudson's Bay- Oil & Gas.
Dennis' passion for nature led him to become an avid hunter, wildlife photographer, hiker, and fisherman. He volunteered his time with children's outdoor camps and several wildlife associations, sharing his love of the outdoors with others. In his personal life, Dennis was married to Sandra Andrews, whom he described as 'perfect'. Together they built a home on an acreage in Millarville, Alberta.
The family is grateful for the care provided by the staff at Southwood Hospice during this difficult time. Dennis leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with his wife Sandra; sisters Audrey and Shirley; children Robert, Trevor, Nancy, and Lori; stepdaughters Sarah and Emma; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
