Lotus Creek's Wilson Creek Production Surges Ahead of Schedule
Lotus Creek Exploration Inc. (TSXV: LTC) has provided an update on its flagship Wilson Creek project, reinforcing its positioning as a junior oil producer focused on organic growth in Alberta's light oil business.
The company reported that current production at Wilson Creek had reached approximately 5,500 barrels of oil equivalent per day in late August, with 72% weighted to light oil and natural gas liquids. This marks a significant increase from the second quarter of 2026, when Lotus Creek averaged 3,417 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The operational update also highlighted the company's ability to reinvest cash flow into a repeatable, low-cost drilling inventory rather than pursuing growth by acquisition. With over 100 identified drilling opportunities at Wilson Creek, Lotus Creek has a multi-year runway for growth if results continue to hold.
