Lundin Mining Hits Near-Record EBITDA Amid Copper Price Strength
Lundin Mining delivered near-record EBITDA in Q2 2026 due to strong copper prices and consistent operational execution across its South American portfolio. The company reported adjusted EBITDA of $658 million and revenue of $1,213 million.
Copper production remained relatively consistent across recent quarters, with Q2's 77,000 tonnes representing solid performance following the 80,000 tonnes produced in Q1. Management noted that production is weighted toward the second half of the year at Candelaria, one of the company's three primary operations.
The presentation also addressed a severe weather event that occurred after the quarter ended, which disrupted operations at the Caserones mine in Chile but left full-year guidance intact. The company maintained its full-year production and cost guidance ranges for both Caserones and the overall company.
