Mahanagar Gas Hikes CNG & PNG Prices Amid Ongoing Crisis

Mahanagar Gas Ltd. (MGL) has increased its compressed natural gas (CNG) prices by ₹2 per kg, and domestic piped natural gas (PNG) prices by ₹1 per standard cubic meter (scm), effective immediately.

The revised CNG price is now at ₹88 per kg, while the PNG price stands at ₹53 per scm. MGL attributed the price hike to the ongoing West Asia crisis, which began in February.

This move comes just two days after its peer, Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (IGL), raised its CNG prices in Delhi by ₹3.89 per kg, making the retail CNG price ₹83.09 per kg in the city.
