Maharashtra's First 100% LPG-Free PNG Village Achieved by Mahanagar Gas Limited

Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), one of India's leading City Gas Distribution companies, has achieved a significant milestone by transitioning Ashiv village in its Latur Geographical Area to Piped Natural Gas (PNG). This makes Ashiv the first 100% LPG-free PNG village in Maharashtra.

The transition was commemorated on August 20th at a ceremony attended by Yadnesh Dhuri, Chief Executive Officer of MGL. He said that Ashiv's conversion demonstrates the company's commitment to extending the reach and benefits of natural gas beyond urban centers into semi-urban and rural areas.

Ashiv's households now have access to uninterrupted cooking fuel supplied directly through pipelines connected to their kitchens, eliminating the need for cylinder deliveries.
