Malaysia Steps In to Help Bangladesh With LNG Shortage

Bangladesh's Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has reached out to his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim for help in addressing the country's urgent liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply needs.

The request, conveyed during a phone call between the two leaders, comes as Bangladesh grapples with a severe gas shortage exacerbated by an industrial facility accident and the West Asia conflict.

Anwar confirmed that Malaysia would collaborate with Petronas to meet the urgent LNG requirements of its long-standing friend Bangladesh.
