Mandalay Region Officials Meet to Boost Cottonseed Oil Production
A coordination meeting on the production and distribution of high-quality refined edible oil from cottonseed crude oil in Myanmar's Mandalay Region was held on September 14, 2026.
Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung attended and delivered remarks at the meeting, which took place at the meeting hall of the Mandalay Region Government Office.
The Chief Minister emphasized that all relevant departments, experts, and edible oil millers must work together to successfully implement specific work processes and decisions made during the meeting for practical implementation. He added that the Mandalay Region Government is providing necessary support and assistance.
The meeting included a presentation by FDA Deputy Director-General on the implementation of the cottonseed oil project, as well as findings from the Director (Food) of FDA regarding the production, distribution, and sale of high-quality refined edible oil from cottonseed crude oil.
