MCX Gold and Silver Prices Firm Amid Global Uncertainty
Gold and silver prices have continued their upward trend on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), as of July 27, 2026. After a sharp bounce in the previous week, bullion markets have stabilized around higher levels.
The MCX update shows that gold futures are trading at approximately ₹1,44,089 per 10 grams, while silver futures are around ₹2,22,108 per kilogram. This turnaround is attributed to fresh safe haven demand, persistent global macro uncertainty, and expectations surrounding interest rate movements.
Analysts note that bullion prices may react quickly to outside signals, particularly the US dollar's movement. Gold and silver rates today for different karat weights are as follows: 24K (₹14,378 per gram or ₹1,43,780 per 10 grams), 22K (₹13,180 per gram or ₹1,31,798 per 10 grams), and 18K (₹10,784 per gram or ₹1,07,835 per 10 grams).
City-wise rates today for major cities are also provided, with Delhi at ₹1,46,160, Mumbai at ₹1,46,410, Chennai at ₹1,46,520, Kolkata at ₹1,46,210, Bengaluru at ₹1,46,520, and Hyderabad at ₹1,46,640.
Jewellery buyers should be aware that the retail rate may differ from MCX futures due to GST, making charges, local taxes, and dealer premiums. It is advisable for consumers to compare rates across jewellers and ensure gold jewellery has a proper BIS hallmark before purchasing.
